ABOUT THE ARTIST:
Keith Walsh produces original art about American social-political history and culture, based upon extensive research. Walsh received a Cultural Trailblazer Award by the City of Los Angeles Department of Cultural Affairs 2021-22. Recently exhibitions include: Malvoyante, the Oakland Museum of California, Into Action, Chicago 2024, Creative Resilience Los Angeles, LA Tate Los Angeles, RDFA Los Angeles, The Dallas Biennial 2020, The Kleefeld Contemporary Art Museum Long Beach, Los Angeles Municipal Art Gallery, SoLA Contemporary, and Long Beach City College.
His art work is in collections in the US and Europe, and has been written about in Artforum, Art and Cake, Artillery, Artsy, Artweek LA, Dallas Morning News, Hyperallergic, LA Weekly, The Locust Review, The Los Angeles Times, Visual Art Source, VoyageLA, and others.
For thirty years, Walsh has also performed The Keith Walsh Experience, a one-man band that has recorded thirteen albums that have aired on radio and been streamed around the globe. Bandcamp.com features several KWE releases.
